Moving from Traveling to Permanent RV Camping
When is the best time to move into a permanent stay at a campground? The answer is summer after all the snowbirds have left and those returning have already made next winter’s reservation. Campgrounds know what will be available for permanent stays of a year or more.
If you wait till the winter season in Florida, you may just find yourself out of luck making that committed long-term stay. It’s to your advantage to investigate in the previous winter season which campgrounds offer permanent, forever camping, what their amenities are, discount pricing, if available, and the overall feel of the campground and the people. If you can drive through and talk with guests, that’s even better.
Some campgrounds allow decks/porches, RV aluminum covers, sheds, raised beds, skirting – creating a glamping/outdoor living area. Making it your home – the best of both worlds.
